Lifting the Veil

Lifting the Veil is a must-see documentary by Scott Noble, with great visuals and intelligent interviews, featuring Noam Chomsky, Glenn Greenwald, John Pilger and a host of others.

Democrat, Republican, these parties are all part of the same corporate ruling system. As the film makes clear, the two-party U.S. political system is being played like a Stradivarius by the richest half percent of the country. Here’s a list of players to reference as you watch:

The Wolves: The Republican Party
The Foxes: The Democratic Party
The Chickens: you and me

Glad to see that your back up posting. I’m also glad to see that your turning around to my way of thinking in that both parties are out to screw us. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Republicans or Democrats, they both have the standard lines that keep their base in line by feeding the lines they want to here and not backing them up.
These silly fools that yell and cheer whenever they here the Obama or Buffet line of “tax the rich” as they both know that it will never happen. Don’t the people realize that people who are donating $25,000 to the campaign are not doing so that they would be taxed at higher rates.
I can’t wait to listen to the documentory when I have a few minutes to do so.
I hope everything is fine with you and your family…

Hey Pelmo! Hope you are doing well, too. Well, what can I say…Obama had his chance. I still think he was the lesser of two evils, but after the results…only by a few degrees. Now, I’m convinced the only answer is to make some major changes–changes too big for either of the entrenched parties to ever make. I’m liking this #OccupyWallStreet movement…I hope they don’t get sidetracked and start venting on the politicians too much…hope they keep their eyes on the folks with the purse strings…if their influence isn’t swatted back a notch, anything else if for naught.

It will not work Joe. The original OWS were well intentioned when they sarted and like you I was behind them, but then the looneys came out of the wood work and attached themselves to the movement. It’s now more a side show then a legitament movement. My grand son who is going to school in Brooklyn took an hour off to go watch the protesters. In his opinion it was more a party then a protest. Until the die hard supporters of both parties stop believing the BS their parties are dishing out, will we be able to accomplish anything.
