Eight Thousand Online College Courses
Remember when you went to college and saw all those interesting classes you wanted to take but you only had so many elective spots open, and taking the tests and paying the tuition sort of took the fun out of the ones you did take?
Ever wish you could just drop in on a class at Yale and sit in the back row, maybe even in your pajamas, and get lost in a great lecture? For free?
Turns out there are more than 8,000 online college courses at the very best universities — courses with handpicked, really fun-to-listen-to professors. And you can attend, any time of day or night, sitting on your own couch.
Some folks are paying $5,000 to take some of these classes, so it’s a pretty good deal…

Yeah, there’s a lot of psychology, philosophy, history, art, literature classes out there that look very interesting to me…the type of stuff I didn’t have much room for getting a Computer Science degree, and the few classes I’ve listened/watched so far…well, let’s just say these professors are a LOT better prepared than most of the profs I had to listen to in person :-) Also, the ones I’ve listened to so far you don’t have to sign up for anything…just drop in and watch (Yale) or load the lectures straight into iTunes (Stanford).
