I'm hoping Canada invades Mexico.

That would be interesting.

Toronto is nice, but if I move there it I want it to be because I want to live there, not because the US has gone to pot.

Joe can I have that ticket of yours to Canada?

It's one thing to savor a victory, but another as this maddness is taking on a life of its own and one can't walk down the street, pick up a paper or watch TV without being costantly assaulted with one story after another.

Reading the papers and listening to the Sunday News shows I am being led to believe that he will walk across Lake Michigan and go to Detroit and with a wave of his hand cure the ailing auto industry. After that he will touch people and cure them of all their ailments and there will be no need for health insurance. Finally he will float over to the Treasurt Department as he takes one stimulus check and multiplies them so that we will never have to fear about paying our bills and fear any financial woes.

That's a class act.

No, not all the declarations of dubious dancing, but the timely taking down of the sign.

Who needs pyrrhic victories?

------

btw- (and who knew?):

Noun	1.	pyrrhic -...
	2.	pyrrhic - an ancient Greek dance imitating the motions of warfare
ceremonial dance, ritual dance, ritual dancing - a dance that is part of a religious ritual
Adj.	1.	pyrrhic - of or relating to a war dance of ancient Greece; "pyrrhic dance movements".

It did seem like there was a bit more crisp, bright, SOMETHING in the dawn this morning, and when I saw the a U.S. flag on the way to work, I felt more proud and grateful than I have in a long while. At the same time, I did notice today that there are a lot of very pissed, very bitter right-wingers, who feel like their country has abandoned them...and I remember that feeling, too from 2000 and 2004, and so I have been cautiuos not to gloat too much, and that's why I've already taken down my Obama yard sign (unlike a neighbor who left their "W - still the president" sign up until 2006), and another thing -- I've made sure to only lapse into a victory celebration dance when nobody's looking :-)
