Genetics or Environment: Why Rich White Men Steal
Just because the old white crooks in Congress couldn’t pull off a heist on Monday doesn’t mean they won’t try, try, try again.
On Monday, a lot of House Republicans wouldn’t vote in favor of the Wall Street Bailout plan. Their reasons? Because, they said, the plan steals $700 billion from the poor tax payers that will or will not reelect them, and gives that money to the rich.
Now, in an effort to bring the reluctant Republicans along, the Senate has rewritten the bill and “sweetened” it by adding another $150 billion dollars to the amount that would be taken from tax payers. This new $850 Billion Bailout Plan has now passed the Senate, and will be sent to the House for another vote on Friday.
What makes the Senate think that House Republicans who thought the $700 Billion Bailout was too large a crime will all of a sudden vote for an even larger $850 Billion Bailout? I haven’t the foggiest.
One reason may be that they have quit calling it the Wall Street Bailout and are now calling it the Economic Rescue Bill. Word is by the time it comes to a House vote, it will be changed again to the Rescue America From Osama bin Laden Or You’re Against Us Act.
Still, others are favoring simply calling it the Save Ferris Bueller Act, hoping those too young to remember Ferris are also too young to find similarities with the great Savings and Loan Bailout.
In any case, another burglary is in progress, and I’m not being racist here…just stating facts…it’s a bunch of rich white guys this time, too. So, what makes rich white men steal?
Bill Maher may have the answer. It’s worth watching for a thoughtful laugh.

Joe I have to disagree with you on this one. If you take a closer look, you will notice that since the door has been opened for women and blacks, they have learned quickly and are falling right in line with the rich white guys. It doesn’t matter wether it is in buisness or politics, when they get to that level they all play the same game.
I actually agree with you on this one, Pelmo…I didn’t say it in the post, but in reality, I truly believe that color of your skin doesn’t make a bit of difference. The way parents, friends and society treat you growing up, however, I believe those things do make a difference. Still, I did enjoy how Bill Maher turned an out-dated but still employed stereotype topsy-turvy.

The dirty dems aren’t missing this. They are in cahoots with the filthy repubs. This lemon socialist corpoRATe welfare BAILOUT will be passed one way or another. The two parties of the apocalypse will have to service their real constituency. The thieving corpoRATeers!
The rest of us are screwed unless we vote third party or independent candidates in. With obamessiah opening up an almost double digit lead over the reverend mcPain, it would be a good time to switch your vote to independent or third party candidates
Since the agenda of obamessiah and reverend mcPain are the same anyway, voting for either of them won’t make any real difference. tweedle dee and tweedle dum…

I have to agree. In fact, they all have white hair, just like sheep.
But, as one who favors shaking things up at every opportunity, I do see a value in the Crazy McCain and the Preacher Palin ticket. You know when you play pool, but all the balls stay tightly grouped at one end and you can’t really single out your balls?…so you decide to “break ‘em up”?
Well, I’m not saying I don’t have “hope” that Obama will do that same thing …in a much calmer way, but I do think JMac and MacPalin would be entertaining if they were in office. I imagine real wife beater cat fights. Might destabilize the whole country which might be good for us.
The status quo sure isn’t.
But I guess it is all just an anarchist daydream.
