That's why I enjoy you blog. makes me think and question things.

But on the lighter side, I suggest you go to chicagotribune.com/obamainterview and read this fairy tale, regarding his involvement with Rezko in the purchase of his home. If you do I suggest you wear boots, because it really gets deep into BS.

Pelmo: You made yourself perfectly clear, and chillingly so. But, I do believe there is an alternative mindset that can prevent the powers that be from infiltrating and bending the bloggers...well, I can't speak for every blogger, but I definitely see it in your blog, and I try to in mine, and that is to question everything all the time, no matter where the news/information comes from. Easier said than done, but it's a good mantra to live up to, and a great way to annoy your friends :-) Or IS it? (yes, you should even question yourself...)

I hope I get my point across, since I tend to think a lot faster then I type and the message doesn't come out exactly as I had intended.

The powers to be saw how powerfull the internet was becoming, and they saw a lot of new ideas springing up, and getting people to think freely, and on their own.

They devised a clever plan to put a halt to this by monitoring the direction that the flow of ideas was headed. Why not take a few pundits and have them agree with the bloggers. Suddenly the blogs began to refer to these pundits in justifying their position. More and more quotes from the pundits appeared on the blog.

Slowly these pundits began to bend these bloggers to their way of thinking; so that even the bloggers did not realize, that the ideas they were now writing about were not their own, just a commentary of what someone else was really saying.

No more questions, no more new ideas, just the same old stuff is heard on the news as well as the blogs. I think they are winning again.

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." ~Thomas Jefferson. I'm continually amazed at how much foresight the founding fathers had. In 1776, the British Empire was dealing with a massive herd of cats.

It has always been the goal of those in charge to keep people domesticated. Think about it this way: Is it easier to herd cows or to herd cats?...to say nothing of milking them (heh heh). Controlling the message has been the key to this for hundreds of years. Since the freedom of the internet, we have been slowly learning to actually use our brains for real thinking instead of just to recite information fed to us, like a parrot. This issue is not just about profits, it is about controlling the message so they can continue to keep us domesticated. They are terrified of us all turning into cats. What cat do you know that really listens and obeys? Reminds me of the fear the establishment had about pot in the 60's. Pot turned on the independent thinking part of the brain, helped you develope a BS detecter and helped you tune out The Man.
