And I Won’t…Back…Down
While President George W. Bush tries to get Congress to give immunity to telecommunications companies who spied on Americans for their government while taking the government’s word that it was ok to do something so evil and that they wouldn’t get in trouble for it, one member of congress has called Dubya’s fearmongering-to-protect-his-partners-in-crime what it is:
Dear Mr. President…
…I, for one, do not intend to back down – not to the terrorists and not to anyone, including a President, who wants Americans to cower in fear.
We are a strong nation. We cannot allow ourselves to be scared into suspending the Constitution. If we do that, we might as well call the terrorists and tell them that they have won.

After watching all those senators perform like clowns, on national TV, I can no longer take in good faith, anything anyone one of them says. No matter how much I may agree with their statments.
Instead of a serious investigation into the use of steroids; all we had was a bunch of senators trying to ham it up for the cameras. It is easy to see why nothing is accomplished in Washington, and if it is, why it is so screwed up.
