Happy New Year, Joe. Would your house accept pet doors? We have them and what a fabulous idea that turned out to be. Really, whoever invented pet doors should be canonized.

Quiet holidays for my family. No gifts exchanged. No stress. Had dinner together. And it was one of my favorite Christmas days. The new year is good too—no holiday debt. :)

Remember the house in the country in the Dr. Zhivago movie? All covered in crystal ice and snow? That's what it looked like in my mothers yard last night as it covered her wrought iron patio furniture, old fashioned street lamps, gingerbread architectural features, weeping willow trees, etc. Silent Magic.
