The Case of the Missing Airline Bombing Terrorists

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Recently, investigators from the Government Accountability Office passed security at 19 airports with bomb parts. And, in fact, airport security is regularly passed by investigators bearing fake explosives.

But, instead of scaring us, this really should make us feel more safe, as Michael Rivero explains:

Tests conducted using fake explosives demonstrated that the TSA security at the airport, for all its annoyance value, is unable to find most of the bombs being taken on board airplanes. This leads us to a startling conclusion. If just half the bombs out there can get past TSA, and no planes have exploded, then there ARE no bombs out there!

Let me put this another way. Based on the recent tests, real terrorists have a better than 50/50 chance of taking down American passenger aircraft IF THEY TRY. There have been no explosions, and more tellingly, no arrests at the gates of people with bombs. Quod Erat Demonstradum, there are no terrorists out there trying to bomb our planes. If there were, more than half of them would succeed.

Aside from the one event on September 11th that occurred just in time to justify Bush’s invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, there has been no real terrorist threat. It’s all a hoax, to make it look like we face a threat that only constant invasions of other countries (which all happen to sit on top of vast oil reserves) will save us from.

Think about that the next time you have to show up two hours early, drink your baby’s formula, and take your shoes off.
