Iraq War Vets Cuffed on Steps of US Capitol
On Saturday, 9/15, riot police arrested Iraq War veterans and handcuffed them face down on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.
The anti-war demonstration that swept Washington went largely downplayed, underestimated, and unreported by the Corporate Media in the United States.

Just goes to show how the news that reaches us is controlled. Supposedly we are fighting in Iraq to bring democracy there. How about a war to bring it back here?
Yep. And I don’t really have a beef with the police…they are only doing their jobs, and they had a ton of people on the verge of getting out of control…they actually did a pretty good job of not giving thousands of protestors a reason to break out into a riot. But I am apalled at the lack of media coverage, and the SPIN put on the little media coverage this got.
Just compare how much the media rehashed this story from every angle (little to none) with how much the media has rehashed the OJ breakin/arrest/out-on-bail story. The Iraq War Vet protest was purposely minimized, and the OJ story sensationalized.
Right on, Pelmo.
Unfortunately, that requires work. What the masses want is passive entertainment for dumbed down brains. Food, sex and sleep…with a little something to hate and vicariously go to battle for. No wonder the masses get no respect. But, there is balance. History does show that the masses do rise up and eat their leaders…from time to time.
I’m surprised they weren’t tazed. “Don’t taze me bro!!”
