In law, when it is discovered that a witness has lied, it is presumed that all the witness has said previously and afterward is also a lie. This applies to not telling the whole truth, conveniently not being able to recall and withholding information under the cover of honor.

This government has shown itself not to be credible and so we waste time in considering and evaluating each new disclosure.

Unless we are hopelessly Soddom and Gomorah...ized, then those few good and honest servants still remaining need to band together and publicly call for cutting out the disease...and take action to do it.

Re conspiracies as normal, everyday occurrences...

First off, I don't believe that a small group of highly powerful people get together once a month in a discreet banquet room in an understated but elegant hotel somewhere in the south of France with the exclusive purpose of deciding the most effective ways to screw up my life for the next few weeks.

I do, however, believe that at any given moment there are literally thousands -- maybe lots more -- ad hoc conspiracies of mutual convenience afoot that draw certain people with certain skill sets together to plan and execute an attack on a mutual enemy.

I've just described the exact nature of a high-level marketing strategy meeting at any of the numerous high-tech corporations I've consulted with, my job in most cases being to translate features and benefits into marketing messages that boost the product on its own merits while attacking the alleged deficiencies of the competition.

Tactics include sowing FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt), questioning performance claims or raising compatibility issues, with the express purpose of eroding their competitors' sales, their market position, stealing their customers and, in the best case, driving them out of business.

Now, if that kind of sociopathic behavior is normal in today's hyper-competitive, zero-sum business environment -- and I submit some version of the above is prevalent in most successful companies, no matter the industry or the product -- why is it so hard to imagine that people who hold analogous positions in the public sector are immune from this kind of approach to destroying the competition?

I think there is a huge mass of circumstantial evidence, coupled with just an amazingly bizarre set of anomalies and "coincidences" (eg, the drawing off of U.S. air power into a set of "exercises" (Vigilant Guardian, etc) that both reduced our capacity to respond, and caused confusion in whatever response was mounted), that must lead any thinking person to consider at least the possibility that the U.S. government was involved in the events of 9/11.

But the psychological barrier to actually absorbing such a concept are simply too formidable for the Joe Blow to overcome. It implies too much. It rips far too deeply into the a priori fabric of the common world view. Look into that dark place, and you can never look back at the rest of it with anything like security, or even complacency.

No, Joe Blow Neo will take the blue pill, thank you very much. Better to sleep, and never even dream.

For factual, persuasive proof that 9/11 was an inside job, got to YouTube and watch "September Clues".

Today is about 9/11/2001.

There's only one important question concerning the attacks, did the US gov't allow/participate in 9/11?

The answer to that query would explain the illegal wire-taps, suspension of habeas corpus, banning of books like "America Deceived" from Amazon, detaining of dissenters in fences miles away from events, and multiple wars based on lies.

How can the gov't be innocent in 9/11 when we have caught it lying so many times (WACO, Ruby Ridge, no WMDs, USS Liberty, Operation Northwoods, Gulf of Tonkin, Pearl Harbor, ETC.)?

In law, if you determine a person lies ONCE during his testimony, it can be assumed that he lied in the remainder of his testimony. How come we do not hold the gov't to the same standard as it holds us to?

The gov't lied to us about Iraq and more Americans have died there than in 9/11. If the gov't lied about Iraq then why is everyone so reluctant to believe that the gov't lied about 9/11?
