La Sirena: That's a pretty hilarious, and smart, SNL clip...makes you laugh AND think.

Xman: I've been trying a bit of positive thinking lately, but just end up thinking instead of making my relative world better I'm only ignoring some really bad crap going on...a mental paradox I'm still working through. (and mental paradoxes are kind of fun, too, so it's not like I'm beating myself up over this or anything...just a good mental problem to chew on...)

Suzie-Q: Just heard that Rove will soon be departing...one down, untold minions to go...

Pelmo: Haven't checked out Bill Moyer's journal yet, but will head over to his website and check out the latest. But, I agree with the content of your synopsis. It probably does no good to impeach Cheney or Bush this late in their term (except for maybe preventing nukes over Tehran, another false flag, a draft, who knows what they MIGHT do...), but the more certain effect would be as a warning to future administrations not to overstep the boundaries handed to them by the Constitution and the people of America.

I don't know if you watched Bill Moyers Journal last night, but for the first time a sensible reason was given for impeachment of both the president and his VP. Commentary was made by both a liberal and a conservative with no political agenda to grind.
It's not about throwing them out of office, but rather curtailing all these powers he is amassing. According to these gentlemen, the real tragedy would be that the incoming president in 09 would have all these powers at his or her disposal to do whatever they wanted when they entered office.

I had to fly in January when they first allowed you to bring up to 2 oz of liquid per container. That did not make sense to me. Also, the terror level was elevated to orange cuz W wanted to escalate the number of troops.

SNL had the best send up on the whole liquids on airlines business. It's still up on youtube. Click here.

I'm beginning to try out a new way of thinking about anything I hear.
I used to try to determine what was true or try to learn to read between the lines and find the real truth. I think that is impossible. I'm too conditioned and not smart enough. Plus, it is so engaging. I have decided to believe nothing I hear from those who have proven themselves to be unreliable.
I have been pondering exactly what Cindy Sheehan meant by the phrase "attention whores". Did she mean people like me who hang out on sites like TPM, Kos, etc. for the latest, most up to date "presumably" anti establishment drivel? I think I once mentioned I felt like I was living on a yo-yo. I want off, but am afraid to get off since it seems like the only game in town. See what I mean about conditioning?
