As for Gold and silver...remember, Roosevelt confiscated all gold holdings in 1933, and there are laws on the books that allow the government to confiscate your gold during an economic crisis or time of war, and we're likely to be experiencing both. Just look at all the other things Bush has done under pretext of "war on terror" and it's not hard to imagine he'd recall everybody's gold...and if you think the government will exchange a fair amount of dollars or Ameros for your gold, you're nuts.
