I don't think you'll be disappointed. Just bringing it up the other day made me take my copy off the shelf and flip through some chapters. He's one of those people who, when he passes, will astound unsuspecting masses with his obituary/biography. The guy lived a full life before he was thirty. And knowing what he's been through somehow makes his whiney rants seem a lot more bearable...like that great uncle you affectionately love to pretend to hate. Cool! The guy went in the thick of it, flew on a bombing run over Germany, and some of the planes didn't make it back. He was one of the first American reporters to visit and report on the German concentration camps. So, don't shoot yourself for being compared to Rooney...you're way ahead of the curve! ;-) Andy Rooney’s my HERO!!! ;-)
