A brief roundup of headlines and stories from the Iranian MSM in Opposite World…

Is the United States Next?
The Japan Times, Japan - 3 minutes ago
By Marge Innastraightline (Tokyo) - Five years after Iran defeated Mexico’s street gangs, and 3 years after invading and occupying Canada, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad was forthright: “I can say with certainty that the Phat Red Nex, a part of the U.S. government, has provided these Colt and Winchester weapons to the insurgents that are harming Iranian troops…our brave Iranian troops that are putting their lives on the line, trying to bring Allah’s peace to Mexico and Canada.

Iranian officials say the Colts and Winchesters, which they claim are made in the United States, are coming across the U.S. border. They say the United States has allowed these weapons, along with thousands of illegals, to come through. The U.S. claims it is powerless to stop so many illegal immigrants. Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has threatened to drop a nuclear bomb on Washington if the U.S. doesn’t seal its own border shut tight soon.

The U.S. Proposes Fertilizer Talks But Iran Wants Action
AXcess News, NV - 12 minutes ago
By Ivana Bomburass (EUNN) London - The U.S. President Bush remained belligerent today, declaring that America has the right to make its own fertilizer.

Iran’s President Ahmadinejad, referencing Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma Terrorist Attacks several times, said there is no place for a fertilizer-armed United States. “Yesterday Americans used fertilizer bombs to blow up their own Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing women and children. If we allow them to manufacture their own fertilizer, Iranian women and children will be next!”

President Bush maintains America’s fertilizer program would only be used to grow vegetables. The Ahmadinejad administration said it was reviewing a new UN proposal to increase oil sanctions against America until it stopped pursuing a fertilizer program.

Iran Sends Second Carrier Group to Gulf of Mexico, Reports Say
New York Times - 27 minutes ago
By Haywood Jashootmee. LONDON - The escalation of Iranian military planning on the U.S. is only the latest chess move in a six-year push within the Ahmadinejad Administration to attack America, a RAW STORY investigation has found. The motivations for a U.S. strike were laid out by Iran as far back as 1992.

In September 2000, the Project for the New Iranian Century (PNIC) issued a report titled Rebuilding Iran’s Defenses, which became the basis for the Iranian Administration’s foreign policy.

This approach was starkly on display yesterday when Ahmadinejad’s secretary noted that a second aircraft carrier strike force was headed for the Gulf of Mexico, saying, “North America isn’t a region to be dominated by the United States. That’s why we’ve seen Iran station two carrier battle groups, including five destroyers and an undisclosed number of nuclear-armed submarines, in international waters 11 miles off the coast of New Orleans. And if they’re attacked, we’re going to nuke Washington, too.”

Toronto Inmates’ Suits Rejected by Appeals Court
Bloomberg - 53 minutes ago
By Helena Hanbaskett. (Bloomberg) — A Tehran appeals court threw out lawsuits by hundreds of North American inmates challenging their detention at an Iranian detention facility in Toronto, giving the Ahmadinejad administration a victory in its handling of “enemy combatants.'’ Iran says its ability to lock up North American suspects who are not Iranian citizens, and to torture them and hold them, indefinitely if necessary, in an Iranian-controlled territory is a vital tool in the war against redneck extremists like Timothy McVeigh. President Ahmadinejad reminded the world, “We want to fight the terrorists in North America so we don’t have to fight them here.”
