I try to do my part by planting trees and recycling.
Trees…the lungs of the planet. I liked that part in An Inconvenient Truth when Gore shows a map of the world and points out that most of the land—and hence, vegetation—is above the equator. So, in the Northern Hemisphere’s winter when all those leaves drop off, the level of carbon dioxide goes up. Then in the Northern Hemisphere’s summer when all the leaves come back out, the carbon dioxide level across the entire planet goes down. He showed a graph of the carbon dioxide atmospheric levels over many years, and it looked like a zig-zag….every winter, the earth breathed in, and ever summer the earth breathed out. Made me really think about that whole Gaia hypothesis…
Have you heard about the the Polar Shift.. as the positive an negative ions in the upper atmosphere. .. atract together they leave holes .. in the atmosphere, that allows more meters .. more weather changes. Which accounts for the Planet warming and changing of our climates. All of which is a part of our planet refurbishing itself. Everything will get more intense more earthquakes, more volcano erruptions.. and the like. I think the Bible says.. its like birth pains that intensify .. as the event comes closer.

blondgirl: I’ve read a lot about magnetic pole shifts, where the magnetic pole of the earth flips, as documented by the magnetic alignment of iron ore at different strata depths in the earth’s crust.
However, I think the Polar Shift you’re referring to may be more along the lines of a time of change, consciousness awakening event? I’m only vaguely familiar with this aspect, seems like there are a lot of theories…some to do with Sitchin’s twelth planet, some with the 2012 end of the Mayan calendar, etc. If you’ve got a good info link, please share it! I’d like to read more about it…
